WHAT’S NEW AT UNITY OF BREMERTON

Sunday, September 22nd at 10amRev. Simon Ruth de Voil – “Why Everyone Loves Saint Francis”
Saint Francis teaches the importance of doing small things with great love.  He touched the world around him with a tender loving intimacy that birthed healing, self acceptance and joy in others.  Lets examine how and why he did this and the ways that we can imitate him.

Reverend Simon Ruth de Voil is an interfaith-interspiritual minister, sacred musician, spiritual counsellor, and is the director of the musical ministry at Unity of Port Townsend. His sacred work—both musical and interpersonal—explores themes of the inner landscape of the soul, the enchantment of the natural world, and the healing power of spiritual practice. As a chaplain and counsellor, Simon helps individuals and groups connect sacred presence with everyday life. Simon is also a transgender activist, a youth mentor, and a luthier in training.   https://simondevoil.com

News from the Board

Rev. Linda Fisher was with us on August 11th. If you weren’t able to see her in person you can watch her on our YouTube Channel or go to our Facebook page and click on the post with the link to the video. After the Board reviewed the Evaluation forms submitted by those who attended that day, and after careful consideration by the Board, an offer of employment was sent to Rev. Linda and SHE ACCEPTED!!!! We are moving forward with the hiring process guided by Unity Worldwide Ministries!

Mary’s memorial will be held on Saturday, October 5th @ 3pm at the Miller-Woodlawn Funeral and Memorial Park, located at 5505 Kitsap Way. The family will be placing her obituary in the Bremerton Sun and the Kitsap County Herald a week prior to her service.  After the service, we hope you will join the family and partake in some food. Mary’s daughter looks forward to meeting each of you, thanking you in person, and hearing what you have to share in regards to memories of Mary.   The reception after the service will be held at the Miller-Woodlawn Funeral and Memorial Park.

We are sharing space at the Steadfast Masonic Lodge at 1020 Perry Avenue, on the corner of Perry and 11th, across from Der Blokken Brewery, in Manette. Please come early for parking and especially if you need assistance (we can park your car for you).  If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at office@unitybremerton.org or message us on Facebook!
